No. Renting energy is just sending TRX from your wallet to a public rental address. You never give anyone a private key or seed phrase, so there is nothing anyone could use to take over your wallet. On-chain addresses are public anyway, so the risk is the same as sharing your receiving address.
Sending TRX every time is a hassle. Is there another way?

What if I pay the wrong amount or send to the rental address by mistake?
